Dr. Thomas Schwalbe attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where he was admitted to the James Scholar program. He completed a Bachelors of Science in Dentistry degree with high honors while attending dental school at the University of Illinois in Chicago. While finishing school he was involved in numerous groups including: Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Dental Honor
Dr. Anthea Schwalbe attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2001. She was awarded the Wall Street Journal Award for excellence in finance as the top finance student at the university & was a Helen Craig Wardlaw Scholar. She went on to attend the Southern Illinois University of Medicine in Alton.
Paulette C. graduated from Parkland College's Dental Hygiene program in 1974 and has been working for Dr. Schwalbe since 1993. She and her husband, Jim live in Urbana. They have two children and one son-in-law: Ryan, Kristen, & Jonathon. She is also happily spoiling her first grandson, Nolan, who was born in December 2011.
Tina W. graduated from Parkland College's Dental Hygiene program in 1988 and has been working full-time for Dr. Schwalbe since then. She and her husband, Kenny, live in Mahomet with their two childeren, Aubree & Alec, their goldendoodle, Bailey and their ragdoll cat, Josie.
Kara J. is our office manager and has been working for Dr. Schwalbe since 2000. She graduated from Cissna Park High School & then Parkland College. She and her husband, Kevin, live in St. Joseph with their two daughters, Kya & Kaelyn and their Yorkiepoo, Buckwheat and kitty cat, Cotton.
Joy J. has been assisting for more than 30 years, and came to work for Dr. Schwalbe in 2008. She and her husband, Robert, live in Paxton. They have two sons, Jake and Justin and a new German Shepherd puppy, Indie, keeping them very busy.
Society, & Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. He recieved his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1973. After graduation Dr. Schwalbe worked as an officer for U.S. Public Health. In 1975 he moved back to Champaign-Urbana and began his dental practice. Since that time, he has not only been active in his practice, but has also pursued extensive continuing education. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Illini District Dental Society, in which he has served as president. Dr. Schwalbe enjoys spending free time with his family and is an avid Illinois sports fan. He also loves spending time with his grandchildren, Oliver, Charlie Kate and William. Dr. Tom retired in the Spring of 2014 but can often still be seen around the office.
During dental school she was a member of Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity & was active in community service including a mission trip to Jamaica. She graduated with a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2006 Magna Cum Laude. At graduation she was honored with the following awards: the Academy of General Dentistry Award, the Chicago Dental Society Student Recognition Award, the Owen Jacquemin Sullivan Award, & the Quintessence Award in Periodontics. After graduation Dr. Schwalbe joined her father's practice in 2006. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Illini District Dental Society, of which she is a past President. Dr. Schwalbe also enjoys spending free time with her family and is an avid Illinois sports fan. She and her husband, Dave, got married in March 2012 and had their first child, William Thomas, in July 2013.
Chrissy Schwalbe is Dr. Tom Schwalbe's daughter & Dr. Anthea Schwalbe's sister. Chrissy enjoys helping out at the office and keeps everyone laughing when she is here. She loves to spoil and play with her nephew, William.
Kelly R. grew up in Harrisburg, IL and attended Illinois College in Jacksonville. She currently resides in rural Rantoul with her husband, David, her children, Bailey and Grayson, and her two dogs, Sammy and Bandit. Kelly has been assisting since 2006 and joined our practice in 2011.
Monica D. grew up in Catlin, IL and is a 2010 graduate from the Parkland College Dental Hygiene Program. She worked in private practice in Louisville, KY prior to moving back to be near her family and friends. She currently resides in Catlin with her husband, Bob and two children, Carson and Vera. She loves spending time outdoors with her kids and family.
